International Symposium on Physics and Applications of Laser Dynamics 2017

The Symposium Committee cordially invites you to attend and submit papers to the International Symposium on Physics and Applications of Laser Dynamics 2017 (IS-PALD 2017) to be held from November 15-17, 2017 in Paris, France. IS-PALD intends to provide an opportunity to learn advances in physics and applications of laser dynamics through invited talks by renowned scholars and through contributed presentations by active researchers. Meanwhile, IS-PALD attempts to create an environment for extensive discussion and potential collaboration with researchers worldwide. For more information, please visit the IS-PALD website at

To encourage the exchange of research ideas and to increase the possibility of research collaboration, submission of original papers is called. Both oral and poster presentations are welcome. Contributed papers are solicited in the following topics of laser dynamics covered by the Symposium:

The topics include but are not limited to:

Photonic crystal lasers

Nanostructured lasers

Surface emitting lasers

Lasers on silicon

All-optical processing using semiconductor lasers and amplifiers

Short pulse lasers and mode-locked lasers, modulation dynamics, noise, etc.

Comb generation and optical millimeter wave generation

High-Power Lasers

Quantum cascade lasers, interband cascade lasers

Cavity solitons

Frequency comb dynamics

Rogue waves and extreme events

Physics and engineering of nonlinear laser dynamics, including stability, bistability, periodic and aperiodic dynamics, and chaos

Generation, measurement, shaping, and processing of diverse waveforms based on nonlinear laser dynamics

Characterization, control, and synchronization of nonlinear laser dynamics

Applications of nonlinear laser dynamics and their waveforms

Authors should submit their papers by September 8, 2017. All papers will be peer reviewed by the Symposium Committee, which reserves the right to accept or reject any submitted paper. Notification of paper acceptance will be sent by September 22, 2017. Paper presentation will be either oral or poster depending on decisions made by the Symposium Committee.
